Fishery description:

The lake is 1.5 acres. The nearest swims are a very short walk from the car park. This is a great fishery to take children as they will always catch fish of all sizes. Good sized carp can be caught in the margins particularly in the afternoons. Best baits are: Bread, Boilies, Luncheon Meat, Maggots, Paste, Pellets and Sweet Corn. ZERO TOLERANCE TO LITTER, PARTICULRLY CIGARETTE ENDS (you have been warned). Please ensure you have closed and locked the gate after entry and when leaving and ensure the farmer’s combination lock is on top of the metal bar, our key lock at the bottom.

Carp: Common, Mirror and Grass up to 20lbs, F1s to 3lbs, Gudgeon 2oz +  Roach: 1lb + (a roach of 1lb 13oz was caught using hemp seed season 2018/19), Rudd: 1lb +

Chemical Toilet: M & F (shared) – DO NOT PLACE WET WIPES INTO THIS TOILET

Dogs allowed:  Yes (must be kept under control at all times and on a lead)

Please read all notices:

Fishery Rules

  1. No-one is allowed on the fishery before 6am, both car parks must be vacated before sunset
  2. No keep nets other than on official BDAC organised matches
  3. One Rod only
  4. Strictly barbless hooks only – maximum size ten
  5. All members must be in possession of and use an unhooking mat/carp cradle together with a suitably sized landing net if fish are to be placed on the ground
  6. If the lower car park is full (it has now been extended) please drop off tackle and park in the top car park. Absolutely no parking on the road between the two car parks.
  7. When requested, your Environment Agency Licence together with your Membership Card must be shown to the Fishery Officer and/or Bailiff.
  8. Fishery closures – BDAC matches and private events – please see handbook for dates
  9. NO SPODS OR SPOMBS ALLOWED ON THIS FISHERY
  10. Sweet Corn, Luncheon meat or any other form of canned bait must NOT be taken to the waterside in the container in which it was purchased e.g. tin can, glass etc
